OK, it looks like the inevitable happened and Romney will be the Republican nominee. So, who do you like for V.P.? I personally like Mitch Daniels a lot. I think he gets it. Would Rubio be seen as anything other than pandering to the Latino vote? Who else would be good and why?

It's not what use to be...a long campaign season with many candidates running. Money is the big reason for the quick ins and then outs by these people. It's a shame it has to be this way. It going to get ugglier come November. May the best dollar bill win.

So now it looks like Perry is out. Huntsman gave it up last week. ABC is going to do its best to torpedo Gingrich by broadcasting an interview with his ex-wife. That will probably leave us with Romney, Santorum and Paul. All this with a total of TWO States checking in. Does that seem terribly wrong to anybody but me?

Looks like Santorum is the man of the hour going into the next round of caucuses and primaries. I admire his social conservatism, but is it too much for mainstream Conservatives? In other words, what are you willing to give up to beat President Obama?

You know, the American people (and the MSM) have no stomach for the truth. I've come to believe that any candidate who unabashedly speaks the truth, can't be elected.

Gingrich is coming on strong as the others fade. Is he the one who can carry Conservatives, an adequate number of independents and beat Obama? I'd pay good money to see him debate the President!

I'm old enough to understand what happened to Perry at the last debate, but you'd think that if dissolving departments was a part of your platform, you could at least remember which departments you want to shut down. Early onset dementia not withstanding, he needs to be better prepped to keep from looking like a feeble fool. Is this a deal breaker or can he come back?

I've always liked Cain, but I didn't think he had the organization or staying power to make the run. I think it is interesting that he is polling so well considering the size of his election staff and budget. Could he be the long shot in this campaign?

At this rate, Perry doesn't even have the base. He is too soft on illegal immigration, and he dared to call other Conservatives "heartless" for not wanting to grant discounted tuition to illegals. This is a hot button issue for Conservatives, maybe even more than abortion. Cain wins Florida straw poll tonight. Fasten your seat belt, it's going to be a bumpy ride!

Could not agree more with your assesment of Perry in the last two dabates. It is a simple equation: base + independent voters = win!...Right now I have my doubts that the independent voters are coming over to the Republican side with these candidates.

I see that a "green energy" company that received a half billion dollars in Federal money, first exported many of its jobs to China, and then recently went broke. President Obama even cited this company as being an example of future green industry in this Country. Once again we see that if our Government has to pony up the start-up costs for a business, it likely isn't viable.
