That America has changed is without question. No one gets to live in the world they were raised to live in. My father grew up in a house with a dirt floor and no running water. He plowed a field with mules just as his father did and his father and so on. My grandmother never heard of telephones, or airplanes or electricity until after she was 21 and had several children yet I sat next to her in 1969 watching men walk on the moon. My grandfather’s generation was the first in my family that learned to read, my father’s generation was the first to grow up with shoes on, mine was the first that grew up in a city, my son’s was the first to have a computer before they had a car and my grandchildren are the first to grow up in an America that’s the largest debtor on Earth like Blanche DuBois depending on the kindness of strangers.

That the slow-motion revolution non-partisan serial “bail-out” is more about government control and central-planning than about keeping the economy afloat becomes more apparent every day. When some of the banks who were extorted into accepting bailout funds by the Republican statists saw the magnitude of control the central-planners at Treasury want to exert, they saw the error of their ways. When they sought to return the money the Democrat statists refused to accept. If it’s all about maintaining financial institutions for the good of the economy what could be a better example of banks ready to stand on their own then ones seeking to repay tax-payers money? The government is showing their colors, they‘re more concerned with controlling the financial institutions and the economy than they are with saving them.

Many years ago, while being interviewed for a job, I asked my future employer if there was much crime in the surrounding community. Wearing a flamboyant cowboy hat, he smiled and told me that theft and property crime were virtually non-existent. “Everyone here,” he explained, “has a gun, and you never know who is standing on the other side of the door.”

You may have noticed that we did not promote the recent national "Tea Parties" on this site. I'm sorry, but I just couldn't get on board with that demonstration of taxpayer angst. Call me cynical, but I just don't believe that the people currently in charge are going to be influenced in the slightest by this gathering of citizen protesters.
