Welcome to our latest installment of Stranger Than Truth, where we look at this wonderful wacky Government of ours and ask the question, "What the...??!!"

America's newest (and far from last) commercial endeavor, General Motors has announced an innovative plan to sell its backlog of unwanted vehicles.  According to news reports last week, General motors will try to sell new cars on eBay .   Call me cynical, but does this sound as if the new owners of GM are trying to undercut Ford (remember the guys who didn't need a bailout)?  I'm just sayin'...  In related news, the Boeing Airplane Company announced that they will begin selling the 787 Dreamliner on Craig's List.  The only thing is, they won't take a check, so you gotta get a Pay Pal account.

"Pelosi Will Read Full Final Text of Health Care Bill Before House Vote and Give Public Ample' Time to Do Same, Says Spokesman"  Unlike the TARP legislation, or the Wall Street bail out, or the auto maker's bail out, or the Cap and Trade bill, Pelosi is pledging to actually read it before steamrolling it through the House.  Notice, she didn't promise to actually comprehend its contents.  She also didn't say anything about those 3:00am amendments that seem to be a hallmark of this Congress.  Personally, I think it would be more fun if she read it out loud to all the Representatives at once.  Think of how much time it would save if each member of the House didn't have to read it themselves.  Of course, we might be forced to have House paiges hand out lethal doses of pain killers.

America's favorite uncle, Joe Biden while speaking to the AARP last week, came up with an interesting observation.  He said:  "We Have to Go Spend Money to Keep From Going Bankrupt" .  Apparently, he has been in consultation with IRDUM, (Irresponsible Reckless Dimwits with Upside-down Mortgages) and has bought into their economic philosophy.  At any rate, I'm guessing he is probably just trying to convince AARP members that with our new Government run health insurance, they won't be around long enough to worry about this administration's crushing debt anyway.

The Democrats in Congress intend to finance Obama's health care plan by taxing the bejeebers out of wealthy Americans .  Never mind that they also intend to allow President Bush's tax cuts to expire next year, or that the top 1% of wage earners in this Country already shoulder 50% of the total tax burden.  Our lawmakers are hell bent on going to the well one more time, without the slightest concern about it going dry.  If the health care bill becomes law, and this administration and Congress try to fund it this way, we will see the greatest offshore exodus of wealth ever experienced by any country in history.  If you don't believe that,
just Google "Maryland millionaires" and you will understand what I am talking about.  I'm baffled why Obama's plan to save so much money for health care, requires so much money to accomplish.  I guess it's just a matter of who is writing the check.

Along those same lines, I'm reminded of a famous quote by Karl Marx:  "From each according to his abilities, to each according to his needs."  The Progressives and Libs get really agitated when Conservatives mention the words "Socialist" or "Communist" to describe what we see happening in this Country but most of the legislation being championed by this administration is at its core, based upon taking wealth from those who have it, and "redistributing" it to those who don't.  I don't know what else you could call it except, a social and economic failure wherever it has been tried.
