Violence Can Only Divide Us |

 Don't take the bait. Don't become what we revile. Don't embody the violent extremists that Progressives so desperately want us to be. Now more than ever is the time for cool heads to prevail. Violence and personal attack are the tactics and strategy of the other side, and they want us to be them. Americans are good and decent people. They know what is right and wrong and they will not support fringe elements that resort to violence of any kind. We need to keep the good people of America together, and senseless vandalism or personal attack is the surest way I know to divide us.
On Sunday when the House was about to vote on Obamacare, I found it interesting that Speaker Pelosi and several carefully selected members of the House, chose to walk through protesters on their way to the chamber. I don't believe that was the only possible route to their destination. If you check out the video, note the aide walking behind Pelosi with a cell phone camera recording the entire procession. They were baiting us, pure and simple. To the credit of the protesters, Pelosi and company apparently got no shocking video to send to the networks. I'm sure they were disappointed.
Since passage of the bill, we have seen isolated cases of vandalism, and some members of Congress have reported threats directed toward Democrats who voted for it. That is not right, and no rational person would condone such behavior, any more than we would condone the 12 bombings that William Ayers claims were the responsibility of his Weather Underground in the early 70's. You see, the Left knows that such behavior turned the Country against their cause and rendered them irrelevant. That radical Left element now in middle age and in power, wants us to make the same mistake. Having said that, do you suppose our Representatives and Senators actually believed they could pervert our Constitution and damage this Country against the clear wishes of the people, and experience no negative repercussions?
Revenge is a dish best served cold. There is no need to rush. We will have many elections between now and the major implementation of Obamacare. If we stay focused and throw out Progressive politicians at every opportunity, we can kill (figure of speech), this legislation before it does too much harm to our Country. However, we must at all times take the high road and not allow ourselves to engage in the politics of violence where we cannot win. That is an area where our side has little experience, while our opponents virtually wrote the book.
